Better than a 5 star
October 30, 2009
Both of John Hart's last books deserve a 5 star rating, but The Last Child belongs in a catagory of its own. Not only great prose, but great characters, exciting plot and full of surprises. One caution: Once you start reading this book, you may find it very hard to put down.
Fascinating story with constant turns and twists.

This is a great story shown through the eyes of all those involved: the young boy who is determined to find his missing sister; his beautiful mother who is drowning her pain through booze, drugs and dangerous men just to get through the day, and the seasonsed cop who is drawn to help these two by finding the truth of what happened the day the little girl disappeared. Lots of turns and twists you won't see coming. I loved this book!
