Heaven is for Real : A Little Boy's Astounding Story of His Trip to Heaven and Back
A beautifully written glimpse into heaven that will encourage those who doubtand thrill those who believe.
Ron Hall, coauthor of Same Kind of Different as Me
Do you remember the hospital, Colton? Sonja said.Yes, mommy, I remember, he said. Thats where theangels sang to me.
When Colton Burpo made it through an emergency appendectomy, his familywas overjoyed at his miraculous survival. What they werent expecting, though, was the story that emerged in the months that followeda story as beautiful as itwas extraordinary, detailing their little boys trip to heaven and back.
Colton, not yet four years old, told his parents he left his body during thesurgeryand authenticated that claim by describing exactly what his parents weredoing in another part of the hospital while he was being operated on. He talked ofvisiting heaven and relayed stories told to him by people he met there whom hehad never met in life, sharing events that happened even before he was born. He also astonished his parents with descriptions and obscure details about heaven thatmatched the Bible exactly, though he had not yet learned to read.
With disarming innocence and the plainspoken boldness of a child, Colton tells of meeting long-departed family members. He describes Jesus, the angels, how really, really big God is, and how much God loves us. Retold by his father, but using Coltons uniquely simple words, Heaven Is for Real offers a glimpseof the world that awaits us, where as Colton says, Nobody is old and nobodywears glasses.
Heaven Is for Real will forever change the way you think of eternity, offeringthe chance to see, and believe, like a child.

2 . Fascinating
Posted September 24, 2011 by Greg , Hillsboro, OregonI loved reading this book. It is a fast read, with a message I can honestly say more people need to accept. I found myself searching the internet for the 'correct' image of Jesus afterward. This book will reinforce your beliefs in Heaven. It will also make death less scary.
3 . Good
Posted September 09, 2011 by Melissa , HesperiaGood book! There is 2 1 star comments from an Agnostic and an Atheist and its obvious they did not have an open mind going into this book, as most don't going into anything that has to do with God. The negative comments are pretty sad so i would just ignore them. This book is Endering! Read it.

6 . Now we can all experience the wonder and beauty of Heaven!
Posted May 16, 2011 by L Quinn , Lanark, ONA truly heartwarming story about a young child's experience in Heaven, as told by his father. This story touched me so much, in part because of the way in which the story was told. A young precocious child describes what he saw when he went to Heaven while he was very sick in hospital, and only tells his parents over time and only when experiences here on earth give him the opportunity to share 'how it is' in Heaven. Well, the story rings very true and I have shared this book with everyone I know. We all love it and get great comfort in Todd Burpo's experience, and especially by his casual acceptance of what he saw and remembers.
Todd Burpo was meant to go to Heaven and was meant to relay his experience so that we all can live our lives in anticipation of the wonder and beauty awaiting us. Thank you Todd!
7 . A must read
Posted February 20, 2011 by Vtaylor , San DiegoThis book is about so much more then a boys close brush with death. This is a reminder about how God works in mysterious and miraculous ways. This family went through so much hardship and had their faith tested. But they stayed strong and God provided and healed. This book is well worth reading.
8 . Amazing!
Posted December 31, 2010 by Meg , Newmarket, ON CanadaI really enjoyed the read. The confirmations are believable and open many more questions about our afterlife. I saw the interview on Fox & Friends & just had to read the book. I'm so glad I did. It confirmed to me what I always thought, and now I know.
