Las Hijas de Juarez (Daughters of Juarez) : Un autentico relato de asesinatos en serie al sur de la frontera
Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, is on the southern border of the Rio Grande from El Paso, Texas. For over twelve years, here was carried out countless atrocities against women and girls include abductions, rapes, mutilations and killings. According to Amnesty International, by 2006, had found more than 400 bodies, not counting hundreds of missing.
Many believe that the deaths are due to violence and impunity prevailing in the city. Among the theories proposed are one or more serial murderers, the sacrifices in Satanic rituals, the powerful Juarez drug cartel and corrupt Mexican officials to cover up those responsible.
The Daughters of Jurez promises to be a revealing literary work that reveals not only the brutality of these bloody events, but violations of human rights of women in Mexico.
