Lancaster County has always been her home--but where does her heart belong?
One moment Carrie Weaver was looking forward to running away with Lancaster Barnstormers pitcher Solomon Riehl--plans that included leaving the Amish community where they grew up. The next moment she was staring into a future as broken as her heart. Now, Carrie is faced with a choice. But will this opportunity be all she hoped? Or will this decision, this moment in time, change her life forever?
A tender story of love, forgiveness, and looking below the surface, The Choice uncovers the sweet simplicity of the Amish world--and shows that it's never too late to find your way back to God.

1 . Startlingly offensive
Posted September 15, 2011 by kj , smiths, alI have family ties to the geographical area of the novel, and expected something more from a treatment of Amish life than this novel delivered. I found the concept that the "heroine" married a good man who loved her while refusing to be a genuine wife to him offensive. It wasn't romantic, it wasn't honorable, and I found that I lost all sympathy for the protagonist.;
2 . Pleasant Surprise
Posted February 24, 2011 by Alexandra , St. CatharinesI actually truly enjoyed this book. I originally just got it because it was free. But, once I started reading it, I was enveloped in it. The only problem with this book, was throughout the pages there would be random words like "e-book" and numbers like "98 & 72" which got confusing at times. It didn't take away from the writing however.
I don't know exactly why I only gave this book a four, but it does seem like something was missing for it to be a five.
Overall, it was amazing, especially for a free book!
3 . Good Story
