Excerpt from Going All In by Sky Robinson
Liberty James sipped at the fancy pink cocktail in a martini glass as she half listened to her friends ogling the hunky men at the bar. This wasn't her style. The swanky casino bar, the trip to Las Vegas, none of it was Liberty's thing, but a good friend was getting married in two weeks, and this where Kirsten wanted her bachelorette party.
Liberty was more than happy to celebrate the fact that her friend found the man of her dreams, but Vegas wasn't anywhere close to the top vacation spot on her list. She would always be a small-town girl with small-town tastes. No matter how long she lived in Minneapolis, that wouldn't change.
"What about the bartender? He's pretty hot." Kirsten suggested another man for Liberty. This trip was supposed to be about Kirsten having a good time, but from the time they boarded the airplane the girl had been showing some serious determination to hook Liberty up with a man.
Yeah, Liberty had been single for the past two years but that didn't mean it was a good idea to throw herself at every sexy single man in Las Vegas. She wasn't interested in a fling. Liberty wanted love, true love.
Her last relationship with a man had been a crappy, shallow, go-nowhere waste of time. She wasn't going to repeat that.
"Liberty James?" A tall, dark and sexy man walked her way. He looked vaguely familiar, but she couldn't place him. The thick brown hair and teasing brown eyes made her think his profession could be a model or actor, but how would he know her name? The man wore a tuxedo that looked as if it was made just for him. Definitely not something a teacher could afford.
"Hi." She smiled politely. Where the hell could she know him from?
"It's Colin. Colin Fredrickson," he said at her obvious confusion, but didn't stop smiling that sexy smile.
"From high school? Oh my gosh, it's been so long." She jumped up from her chair and hugged him. He didn't look much like the skinny kid she knew back then. He filled out the tuxedo with muscles. Solid, sexy muscles.
