I took him home from the Tree of Idleness, cafe, the young man with the big, dark, bedroom eyes. He was not the usual sort of man I picked up at the Tree of Idleness, but I was in the mood for something different. He seemed gentle and obliging and easily forgotten. But Lawrence was a musician, and he had passion, and in the end he was far from demure or gentle, and he could never be forgotten.
