Robyn DonaldNotify me of new titles added by this author
Robyn Donald thinks that writing is like gardening. It's a similar process – creating landscapes for the mind and emotions from the seeds of ideas and dreams. Both activities can also lead to moments of extreme delight, moments of total despair, and backache! Robyn spends time researching as well as writing, and also finds time for her very large family which includes a loud, cheerful and ruthlessly determined ‘almost’ Labrador dog. Robyn lives in New Zealand.
Julia JamesNotify me of new titles added by this author
Mills & Boon novels were Julia James’ first “grown up” books she read as a teenager, and she's been reading them ever since. She adores the Mediterranean and the English countryside in all its seasons, and is fascinated by all things historical, from castles to cottages. In between writing she enjoys walking, gardening, needlework and baking “extremely gooey chocolate cakes” and trying to stay fit! Julia lives in England with her family.

I've always wanted to write -- which is not to say I've always wanted to be a professional writer. One the contrary, for years I wrote only for my own pleasure, and it wasn't until my husband suggested that I ought to send one of my stories to a publisher that we put several publishers names into a hat and pulled one out. The rest as they say in history. And now, 150 books later, I'm literally -- excuse the pun -- staggered by what happened.
I had written all through my infant and junior years and on into my teens, the stories changing from children's adventures to torrid gypsy passions. My mother used to gather these up from time to time, when my bedroom became too untidy, and dispose of them! The trouble was, I never used to finish any of the stories, and Caroline, my first published book, was the first book I'd actually completed. I was newly married then, and my daughter was just a baby, and it was quite a job juggling my household chores and scribbling away in exercise books every chance I got. Not very professional, as you can see, but that's the way it was.
I now have two grown-up children, a son and daughter, and two adorable grandchildren, Abigail and Ben, aged eleven and nine respectively.
Kim LawrenceNotify me of new titles added by this author
Kim Lawrence was encouraged by her husband to write when the unsocial hours of nursing didn’t look attractive! He told her she could do anything she set her mind to, so Kim tried her hand at writing. Always a keen Mills & Boon reader, it seemed natural for her to write a romance novel – now she can’t imagine doing anything else. She is a keen gardener and cook and enjoys running on the beach with her Jack Russell. Kim lives in Wales.
Sharon KendrickNotify me of new titles added by this author
Sharon Kendrick started story-telling at the age of eleven and has never stopped. She likes to write fast-paced, feel-good romances with heroes who are so sexy they’ll make your toes curl! She lives in the beautiful city of Winchester – where she can see the cathedral from her window (when standing on tip-toe!). She has two children, Celia and Patrick and her passions include music, books, cooking and eating – and drifting into daydreams while working out new plots.
Catherine SpencerNotify me of new titles added by this author
Catherine Spencer fell into writing by happy accident. Approaching menopause and ready for a change of career while she could still walk and chew gum at the same time, she eavesdropped on a conversation about writing for Harlequin and decided this was too good a challenge to pass up.
With the blithe ignorance of a non-swimmer leaping into a shark-infested pool, she resigned from her job as a high school English teacher and fired off her first submission to Harlequin Mills & Boon's editorial staff. Although her first two submissions were rejected, the third effort made the grade.
Since then, she's sold over 25 books; 24 of them to Harlequin and most of them selected for the Presents Line. The Loving Touch, her third novel, was a short contemporary finalist for the Romance Writers of America's prestigious RITA Award.
Helen BrooksNotify me of new titles added by this author
Helen Brooks was born and educated in Northampton, England, where she still lives today with her husband and family. Although having enjoyed some wonderful holidays abroad she has never been tempted to live anywhere else, although she rather likes the idea of a holiday home close to the sea one day.Helen met her husband at the age of 16 and 35 years later the magic is still there. They have three lovely children, Cara, Faye, and Benjamin, and have always had a menagerie of animals in the house, which at the present is confined to two endearing and very comical dogs who would make a great double act on TV! The children, friends, and pets all keep the house buzzing and the food cupboards empty but Helen wouldn't have it any other way.Helen began writing in 1990 as she approached that milestone of a birthday--40! She realized her two teenage ambitions (writing a novel and learning to drive) had been lost amid babies and hectic family life, so set about resurrecting then. Her first novel was for Harlequin Mills and Boon and was accepted after one rewrite, and she passed her driving test (the former was a joy and the latter an unmitigated nightmare!) She has just finished her 38th novel for Harlequin as well as several sagas.Being a committed Christian and fervent animal lover Helen finds spare time is always at a premium, but long walks in the countryside with her husband and dogs, meals out followed by the cinema or theater, reading, swimming, and having friends over for dinner are all fitted in somehow. She also enjoys sitting in her wonderfully therapeutic, rambling old garden in the sun with a glass of red wine, (under the guise of resting while thinking of course!)Since becoming a full-time writer Helen has found her occupation one of pure joy and often surprised when her characters develop a mind of their own--but she loves exploring what makes people tick and finds the old adage truth is stranger than fiction to be absolutely true. She would love to hear from any readers on both sides of the Atlantic c/o Harlequin.
