From the author of Ender’s Game, the soon-to-be major motion picture!
A powerful secret. A dangerous path.
Rigg is well trained at keeping secrets. Only his father knows the truth about Rigg's strange talent for seeing the paths of people's pasts. But when his father dies, Rigg is stunned to learn just how many secrets Father had kept from him--secrets about Rigg's own past, his identity, and his destiny. And when Rigg discovers that he has the power not only to see the past, but also to change it, his future suddenly becomes anything but certain.
Rigg’s birthright sets him on a path that leaves him caught between two factions, one that wants him crowned and one that wants him dead. He will be forced to question everything he thinks he knows, choose who to trust, and push the limits of his talent…or forfeit control of his destiny.

1 . Very entertaining story with time travel
Posted January 29, 2011 by Ruthie , San DiegoMore often than not, books about time travel can get pretty confusing. OSC kind of creates his own rules on the topic. While it was still complicated, (even the characters get confused), it wasn't so convoluted that it ruined the story. Another book is expected, but it was still great on it's own.
2 . Great entainment
Posted January 23, 2011 by Contra1971 , San AntonioI very much enjoyed this casual read
it was pretty much my mission to get to the end as fast I could but now that I am done, I find myself wanting more
I hope he has a follow up and continues the story, I recommend this as a light read for anyone
