Van Alen Legacy, The (Blue Bloods, Book 4)
Disguises only went so far. At some point your true nature revealed itself. Wasn't that what the Inquisitor argued during the official investigation into the events in Rio? That maybe Schuyler wasn't who she was supposed to be? Outlaw. Fugitive. That's who she was now. Certainly not Lawrence Van Alen's grieving granddaughter. No. According to the Conclave, she was his killer.

1 . Crucial for information but not a favorite
Posted November 13, 2010 by Jessica , NashvilleI would definitely say that this book is important for creating depth for the series but it is not one of my favorites. Although De la Cruz is getting the hang of storytelling through the three different perspectives, her foundation for Bliss in the first three books was not strong enough for what lays ahead for this character ... she was boring and I found myself skimming over her chapters. Mimi, however, became a much more likeable character ... I didn't hate her as much as i did with the other three books. All in all it was an ok read. I stuck through for the sake of the series and not this particular book.
