Beverly Hills, 1996. Sherman Lee is a volatile and successful action movie producer who can't keep an assistant for long. He's wondering if making a dramatic film will keep audiences away. He's drinking and taking too many drugs to ease his worries. Is his career in limbo or heading due south? Emily Karelin needs a job -- fast. She signs up as a temp and is sent to work for Sherman, signifying her entry into the world of showbiz. Wesley Barron has starred in a few of Sherman's hits. When he sees what's happening between his longtime friend and the newest assistant, he witnesses the beginning of a transformation.
