There's something achingly familiar about Daniel Grigori. Mysterious and aloof, he captures Luce Price's attention from the moment she sees him on her first day at the Sword Cross boarding school in sultry Savannah, Georgia. He's the one bright spot in a place where cell phones are forbidden, the other students are all screw-ups, and security cameras watch every move. Even though Daniel wants nothing to do with Luce--and goes out of his way to make that very clear--she can't let it go. Drawn to him like a moth to a flame, she has to find out what Daniel is so desperate to keep secret . . . even if it kills her. Dangerously exciting and darkly romantic, Fallen is a page turning thriller and the ultimate love story.

1 . Gets interesting
Posted July 22, 2012 by Jasmine , San AntonioThe first half of the book was confusing and boring I almost stopped reading it, but if you read the whole book everything falls into place and then you will fall in love with the book!

Posted March 13, 2012 by Pamela , CTAt the beginning kind of boring but later you can't stop reading... one of my favorite books/ saga.
4 . Not a Worthy Read
Posted March 07, 2012 by Dawn , ChicagoI accidently picked up the wrong book, this book. A friend recommended a great new series called The Fallen and I missed that little article "the" in the title, so I read this book Fallen. Both series are about exactly the same concept. If you like Twilight, you will like this series. I do not prefer Stephanie Meyer's writing style or shallow characters, so I did not like Lauren Kate's predicatable plot, jumbled up conflicts, and shallow writing style. Books: some taste irresitible while others make you wince as you "taste" their flavor. (sorry-huge Francis Bacon fan).. Sorry to say, Fallen made me wince----- [side note: The Fallen is a well written book, good read!!]
5 . I <3 Fallen Angels
Posted April 02, 2011 by Kaysey , Toronto, OntarioI love this book! I'm obsessed with books about immortals and specifically ones about hot fallen angels. Add in a twisted plot and i'm sold.
A simple read but thoroughly enjoyable!
6 . Great Book
Posted January 02, 2011 by Misty , MechanicsvilleIt's not Twilight, but it's worth the read. Adults will enjoy.
7 . To Each Their Owm
Posted December 27, 2010 by Whitney Claypool , L.Ville*Note! Some Spoilers!*
For every reader, its hard to start off a book in the supernatural realm, especially when society is advertizing vampire crap everywhere. "Fallen" is a great tale of fallen angels, forbidden love, and the price of it all. Yes, it takes awhile to get into, but what good story doesn't?
Ms. Kate had to set the base of the story; without it, the story would simply be mapped out for us. I like a good challenge when I read a book, something for me to figure out. With books like "Twilight," its given to you at a fast pace, which isn't bad at all.
Some books and pacing simply suit other people. "Fallen" and "Torment" have captured my heart. I feel like I'm in a love triangle with Daniel and Luce myself(:
The characters change throughout the course of the two books, yet they draw you in.
Needless to say, I cannot wait at all for Passion to be released!
8 . An exciting read!!
Posted October 08, 2010 by Jessica , NashvilleI was very skeptical about purchasing this book for the simple fact that the main story was very similar to that of Twilight. However, after reading some of the reviews I decided to go ahead and give it a chance ... and I am so glad that I did. I fell in love with the suspense and romance of the novel and look forward to falling into the next installment. For those that are wondering, yes, the base story is very similar to Twilight but the creativity that the authors uses to add body to that base story makes so much different. You will not be disappointed.
9 . Couldn't put it down
Posted September 23, 2010 by Mariah , Henderson, NVI loved this book. There is action & romance & everything in bewteen. I am counting the day's until the next one in the series comes out. You will not be disappointed.
10 . A good read that follows the current trend in young lit.
Posted August 23, 2010 by Lezlie , Buffalo NYI enjoyed this book. It does seem to be similar to other books that are popular today such as Twilight, but given that it does poses differences you do not feel as though you are reading the same exact thing. It does require you to pay attention to the story so that you understand the "unspoken" clues. It does not just come right out and tell you whats what right away so you either have to pick up on the soft clues or you will be a bit confused until the end and even then there is clearly much more to the story and requires you to read the following dooks to the series. I have already recommended it to some family and friends and look forward to the next installment!!
