Haines follows Hunted by the Others and Taken by the Others with an episodic tale of werewolves, vampires, and the women who love them. Shiarra Waynest, private investigator, is off for a vacation in the Catskills with her werewolf boyfriend, Chaz, who wants to introduce her to his pack and see how they get along. The pack has decided opinions on the matter, most of them unfavorable due to Shiarra's association with vampires. Threatening notes, the trashing of their shared cabin, and an attack by an angry pack member are bad enough, but when Shiarra discovers Chaz is involved with another woman, she flees. This installment of what is clearly intended to be a longrunning series lacks any feeling of completeness, leaving numerous plot threads unresolved. (July) (c) Copyright PWxyz, LLC.
