In the Victorian era wayward young ladies of standing weren't sent to the workhouse but to correctional schools. What the two sisters find and experience here might just make them wonder if the workhouse wouldn't be a better option. Aged eighteen and nineteen they are verging on womanhood and, here they get to know a hell of a lot more about life than in any social circle.
