With more than 150 paintings and drawings reproduced in brilliant full color, this retrospective look at Tasha Tudor's art is the culmination of Harry Davis's work of a decade, recording the observations and compiling the art of the renowned author and illustrator. The book combines well-known images, with lesser-known illustrations. Included are Tasha's fashion designs for Pierre Deux, portraits of animals and of family, holiday cards, including those for Christmas and Valentine's Day, and samples from her personal sketchbooks. Drawing from more than 10,000 pieces that Tudor has produced over her long career, Davis has chosen the most representative examples of Tasha Tudor's art, which he illuminates in his accompanying text.
Author Biography: Harry Davis has studied the art of Tasha Tudor for thirty years. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University, he taught school before becoming Tasha Tudor's Business partner and initiating her landmark exhibition at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum in Williamsburg in 1997. He is the author of Tasha Tudor's Dollhouse and Forever Christmas.
