A modern day fairy tale. This book tells the'story of Fiona, a woman who, as a child, was abused by her father. At the age of 7 one night she was brutally awakened out of her sleep to find her father holding her down as he tried to rape her. When one of her triplet siblings tried to stop him, she he'self was raped. At the age of 27 and living with a mentally abusive husband, the memory resurfaced which caused her to become severely depressed. This, combined with flashbacks, led to her suffering severe post traumatic stress. She became so ill that her weight plummeted to 5 stone 10 lbs. Throughout this period her efforts to get medical assistance were unavailing and she feared that she was going to die. Frightened and desperate Fiona called upon God to help her. There were many obstacles to be faced, including the despair of the 1984 miners? strike which left her with no income to sustain her family. At this time she'suffered many years of hardship when her faith was almost broken. She even feared that at some point she would commit'suicide as the pain of healing combined with the'stress of daily living was too much to bear. However, God never left her side. Fiona?s ambition is to let othe's know of God?s enduring faithfulness in bringing her back to health and happiness
