1 . Want more of Alex Morrow
Posted September 05, 2011 by Vicki C , DFW TXI have read the previous Mina novels with the newpaper reporter as main character but I enjoyed Alex Morrow of Still Midnight as much or better...
hope she becomes a continuing character in other novels...
there is a novel unwritten in the father's backstory alone...
Liked the pace of the story and the shifting view points...thought that the name confusion that develops during the novel was going to resolve the way it does but there were other aspects that were not that predictable...
Mina writes in very descriptive, insightful way about people's perceptions--and the conversations between characters always comes across as believeable...
I was disappointed when the novel ended...and felt cheated there was not more resolution...
don't know if that was deliberate on her part--if she got tired of her story or it seemed pretty obvious--but it felt like stepping off the curb and not noticing there was another 6" drop to the street--
a lurching conclusion--
