1 . Two words: Fact Checker?????
Posted December 15, 2011 by GReader , Magnolia, TXI didn't think it was possible to get a book published without an editor. Corey Mitchell and Savage Son prove that it is very possible. Did anyone even have a map of Texas on hand when this went to print? The stream of errors was very distracting but at least offered some relief from the redundant dialogue.
Sam Houston State University is located in Huntsville, TX near Interstate 45.
Willis, TX is also near Interstate 45, north of Houston and south of Huntsville.
Stephen F Austin University in the town of Nacadoches is some 140 miles to the east near Interstate 59 and has nothing to do with the plot or setting of this book although the town and Interstate were mentioned incorrectly twice.
The mascot of Texas A&M is a dog named Reville-NOT an Aggie. Again nothing to do with the plot or setting, just errors, poor editing, and worse research. In short-I wouldn't believe a word this author writes in "true crime" or anywhere else.
