THE BLACK PRISM begins a brand new action-packed tale of magic and adventure ...
Guile is the Prism, the most powerful man in the world. He is high priest and emperor, a man whose power, wit, and charm are all that preserves a tenuous peace. Yet Prisms never last, and Guile knows exactly how long he has left to live.
When Guile discovers he has a son, born in a far kingdom after the war that put him in power, he must decide how much he's willing to pay to protect a secret that could tear his world apart.

1 . Awesome book
Posted December 20, 2010 by Ruthie , San DiegoI was impressed with Weeks' Night Angel trilogy, but the potential for this series is very high as well. Their magical abilities come from an angel I haven't read about before, the light. There are many layers of intrigue within the novel that make it a I-can't-put-it-down page turner.
2 . Didn't want to put this book down.
Posted September 13, 2010 by John , Tampa, FLThis is Brent's 4th book and the first of his new Lightbringer series. I read this book while on a family vacation and I could not wait for down time so I could sneak in a chapter or two.
3 . A Wonderfully Spun Tale!
Posted September 02, 2010 by Lindsay B , Alberta, CanadaThis book was amazing! I love how Mr.Weeks can craft a new world, and bring you completely into the story so skilfully. You forget that you are reading, and experience all the emotions with the characters - every moment of happiness, fear, or triumph - makes you feel as though you are actually there to witness. Few writers can develop so many different characters, and have you feel like you know each and every one of them inside and out - and then realize that you don't know them at all!
With each new chapter a new twist or turn emerges, drawing the reader farther in to the story - It is almost impossible to put down once you start.
Mr. Weeks caught my eye with the Night Angel Trilogy, and he has made me a devoted fan with the release of this book. I am already patiently awaiting his next book in the series
