TIMOTHY P. MAGA is the author of Judgment at Tokyo and dozens of books and articles on U.S.-Asian/Pacific relations. He is a former legislative director with the U.S. House of Representatives Foreign Affairs Committee, and presently holds the Oglesby Chair of American Heritage at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois.
