Overview

Not your typical boring diet book, this is a tart-tongued, no-holds-barred wakeup call to all women who want to be thin. With such blunt advice as, "Soda is liquid Satan" and "You are a total moron if you think the Atkins Diet will make you thin," it's a rallying cry for all savvy women to start eating healthy and looking radiant. Unlike standard diet books, it actually makes the reader laugh out loud with its truthful, smart-mouthed revelations. Behind all the attitude, however, there's solid guidance. Skinny Bitch espouses a healthful lifestyle that promotes whole grains, fruits, and vegetables, and encourages women to get excited about feeling "clean and pure and energized."

  • 5 stars out of 5Wow what a book

Posted April 14, 2009 by Sheila Logan , Yokota AFB

Most of the time it takes me at least 2 days to read a book especially one like this but I read this in one day cause I just couldn't put it down, it is definitely one to tell you like it is and get you off your ass, it is more geared to becoming a vegan I am going to try the vegitarian route for 30 days but either way this book helps with a lot more, it will help change how you look at food and how you eat even if you are not a vegan!

  • 2 stars out of 5only if you want to become a vegan

This book is great if you are interested in becoming a Vegan. Book is very informative and straight to the point, but I only recommend it to those who want to become Vegans. They tell you some pretty gruesome facts about animals and the products they produce, so if you like your, meat, chicken, fish and dairy products, this book is not for you.

The book was ok. Started out being funny and informative but went downhill with all the "preaching" and opinions. The other reviewers are right, Only if you want to be a Vegan should you read this.
