Mistaken Identity? Not ReallyPosted May 04, 2008 by Jade, Wyoming USA
So far I greatly enjoy all of Wilde's plays and look forward to reading the rest of his work. This play didn't seem to deal with mistaken identity so much as it seems to deal with an intentional deceit practiced on a couple women and an entire town. They play is funny and boisterous. I think that the women caved in way to easily and the ending was slightly predictable but still brought a grin and laugh as everything came together.

Always wanted to read this bookPosted May 07, 2008 by davedarinkfnx, Phoenix Arizona
If there was a 4.5 I would have selected that on the scale. I saw this movie decades ago, no idea who was in it but I vividly remembered it. I just got this sony e-reader and saw it on the free classic list. Awesome read. In one of the chapters about 70 through the book it does get wordy. He should have condensed that chapter. It's a chapter with no personal back and forth dialog, just on and on about things that got really boring. But the book is excellent. I'll have to rent or buy the movie to see how good or bad the movie is and stir up long lost memories of the movie that I am sure I can look for on ebay.

Great Story...Posted March 05, 2009 by love08110901, Scottsdale, AZ
I had the pleasure of selecting the Importance of Being Earnest as a free download for my Sony E-Reader and I am so glad that I did. It was a really short story that made me laugh and one of the best Classics I have downloaded and thus far read on my E-book. I highly recommend it.

Short Posted April 26, 2009 by Spamouflage, Regina, SK
Not much to this book/play. I'm glad I read it as I had heard of it many times. However, I thought it was all very light and fluffy. Mind you, the story was indeed clever. I laughed at a few dialogues but overall, not a great read. I would see the play still.
