Author Information

Michael E. Casey

Michael Casey is the division director of technology services for the Gwinnett County Public Library in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Michael was a branch manager prior to moving into his current position, and participated in the construction of the library's Dacula branch. He is also the author of the blog LibraryCrunch (www.librarycrunch.com). Michael has given numerous presentations on Library 2.0, and has participated in several Web seminars and podcasts on the topic. Michael holds an MA in political science from Penn State, an MLS from Southern Connecticut State, and a BA in political science and history from Duquesne University. Originally from Pennsylvania, Michael now resides in Georgia with his family. Laura Savastinuk is an assistant branch manager with the Gwinnett County Public Library in Lawrenceville, Georgia. She holds an MSLIS from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she was a distance education student and proud participant in LEEP cohort 8.1. She also earned a BS in history, technology, and society from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Laura resides in Georgia with her husband, Paul.
