In Mark Twain's comical satire of the art of telling tall tales in America, A Horse's Tale is the story of a horse who meets a painful end, as told by the horse itself. It also introduces Cathy, a girl who loves the horse and suffers with it.

Bio of Mark Twain

Mark Twain was born Samuel Langhorne Clemens in Florida, Missouri. Following careers as a printer, Mississippi riverboat pilot, and a brief stint in the Confederate militia, Twain wrote such American classics as The Adventures of Tom Sawyer, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthur's Court.

  When reading this book, I found myself once again immersed in the symbolism created by Mark Twain.
