Author Information
Bio of Maggie Sefton
Maggie tried several careers from CPA to real estate broker, however, nothing has provided the continuing satisfaction and challenge as creating worlds on paper. She joined RMFW shortly after moving to Colorado in 1989 and credits the organizationýs critique groups, seminars, and conferences for enabling her to realize her dream of becoming a published author in 1995 with her historical western romance, ABILENE GAMBLE, Berkley/Jove. Maggie switched to writing mysteries and the first in her knitting mystery series, KNIT ONE, KILL TWO, made four national bestseller lists in June 2005. The second, NEEDLED TO DEATH, (December 2005) was Barnes & Nobles #1 Bestselling Mass Market Mystery. The third in the series, A DEADLY YARN, will be a Berkley Prime Crime ýFeatured Releaseý for August 2006. Maggieýs other amateur sleuth mystery, DYING TO SELL, Five Star, October 2005, features a real estate agent-sleuth in Fort Collins, Colorado. Maggie was also nominated for an Agatha Award for Best First Mystery Novel in 2005 by the Malice Domestic Mystery Conference, held in Washington, D.C., in April 2006. Maggie has taught panels and workshops on the craft of writing and mysteries at Colorado Gold as well as other conferences.
