Author Information

Lucinda Brant

I write novels set in the 18th Century, spanning 1740 to early 1780's Georgian England, with occasional crossings to the France of Louis XV.

I studied political science, history, law and education at university and teach at an exclusive boarding school for young ladies when I'm not being bumped about Georgian London in my sedan chair or exchanging gossip with perfumed and patched courtiers in the gilded drawing rooms of Versailles.

So, what are my books like? Well, if you love BBC Classic Drama, Georgette Heyer, anything to do with Georgian England, romance, mystery, lashings of wit and adventure then you'll love my books. As well as determined heroines and heroes, there's always an eccentric character or two and a weave of subplots to keep things interesting. They're books I always wanted to read but seem few and far between nowadays when many publishers insist on strict genre formulas. Above all, I want my readers to be entertained. Enjoy!
