Author Information

Lori Foster

Since first publishing in January 1996, Lori Foster has routinely released six to ten books a year and has become a Waldenbooks, Borders, USA TODAY, Publishers Weekly and New York Times bestselling author.

Lori believes it's important to give back to the community as much as possible, and for that reason she ran special contests in conjunction with a publisher, facilitating many first sales for new authors. She routinely organizes events among authors and readers to gather donations for various organizations.

Along with her good friend Dianne Castell, Lori hosts a very special annual Reader & Author event in West Chester, Ohio. Proceeds from the event go to benefit worthy causes, including the Hamilton County YWCA Battered Women's Shelter, the Animal Adoption Foundation and the Conductive Learning Center for children with spina bifida and cerebral palsy.

Lori visits daily with readers at these online locations: Running With Quills blog at www.runningwithquills.com and the message board featured on www.lorifoster.com.

Stella Cameron

Stella Cameron is the author of many outstanding suspense novels, including Kiss Them Goodbye, Now You See Him, A Grave Mistake, A Marked Man and Body of Evidence. She has more than eleven million copies of her books in print and appears on many bestseller lists, including the New York Times list.

Stella lives in Washington state.

Sue-Ellen Welfonder

Sue-Ellen Welfonder is a card-carrying Scotophile whose burning wish to make frequent (free) trips to the land of her dreams led her to a twenty year career with the airlines. Bi-lingual, she flew international all those years, working her flights as foreign language speaker. Her flying career allowed her to see the world, but it was always to Scotland that she returned.

Now a full-time writer, she's quick to admit that she much prefers wielding a pen to pushing tea and coffee. She spent fifteen years living in Europe and used that time to explore as many castle ruins, medieval abbeys, and stone circles as possible. Anything ancient, crumbling, or lichened caught her eye. She makes annual visits to Scotland, insisting they are a necessity as each trip gives her inspiration for new books.

Proud of her own Hebridean ancestry, she belongs to two clan societies: the MacFie Clan Society and the Clan MacAlpine Society. In addition to Scotland, her greatest passions are medieval history, the paranormal, and dogs. She never watches television, loves haggis, and writes at a four-hundred-and-fifty year old desk that once stood in a Bavarian castle.

Sue-Ellen is married and currently resides with her husband and Jack Russell Terrier in Florida. Readers can learn more about her and the world of her books at: www.welfonder.com.

Kate Angell

National bestselling author Kate Angell lives in Naples, Florida. She's an animal lover, avid reader, and sports fan. Bookstores are her second home. She takes coffee breaks at Starbucks. Her philosophy: Out of chaos comes calmness. Enjoy the peace.

Sarah McCarty

Sarah has traveled extensively throughout her life, living in other cultures, sometimes in areas where electricity was a concept awaiting fruition and a book was an extreme luxury. While she could easily adjust to the lack of electricity, living without the comfort of a good book was intolerable. To fill the void, she bought pencil and paper and sketched out her own story. In the process, Sarah discovered the joy of writing.

Her first western historical series, The Promise Series, was released in 2005. Gritty, emotional and erotic, the series garnered twenty awards in its first year, including multiple reviewer choice awards and an award for the most romantic couple. When Sarah came up with the idea for the Hell's Eight series featuring Texas Rangers from the time when rangers were more outlaw than law, she knew right away SPICE would be the perfect home for these equally compelling erotic romances. She was thrilled when SPICE purchased the series.

Sarah writes what she loves to read: fast-paced stories with vivid dialogue, intense emotion and well-developed characters. Her attention to detail in her stories continues to win awards and has reserved her a spot on Keeper shelves everywhere.

Whether she's writing very sexy or erotic, Sarah writes romance. She currently has two series with Harlequin--the Hell's Eight series (western historical) with SPICE and the Shadow Wranglers (paranormal) with HQN.

Dianne Castell

Dianne makes her debut as a Brava author May '05 in Star Quality an anthology with Lori Foster, Lucy Monroe, and the delicious men of Delicious, Ohio. Dianne's first single title comes out in Sept '05, a trilogy set on the Mississippi River with those sexy O'Fallen brothers.

Her stories are humorous, fast pace, sensual and very sexy, set in small-town USA. They focus on the zany things people do when falling madly in love. Dianne also writes the Up Close and Personal: Editor Interview column for Romance Writers Report.

Patricia Sargeant

Patricia Sargeant and her husband live in Ohio. Patricia dreamed of becoming a published author since childhood. She credits her family and Romance Writers of America for helping her realize her dream.

Ann Christopher

In my previous life, I was a lawyer specializing in family law, especially divorces. Now I have a much happier job--writing about the beginnings of love affairs rather than helping end them. I live in Ohio with my family and two oversized cats. I love to hear from readers.

I love to read romances, especially romantic suspense (Karen Robards, Sandra Brown), historical romance (Lisa Kleypas, Brenda Joyce, Sylvia Day), and paranormal romance (L.A. Banks, J.R. Ward). I also enjoy cooking (except when I HAVE to) and practicing yoga.

Marcia James

Marcia James, when she isn't penning romantic comedies with elements of mystery and suspense, is a freelance video scriptwriter and advertising copywriter. In addition to developing marketing and promotional materials, she writes romance articles for her local weekly newspaper. After years of dealing with such sexy topics as how to safely install traffic lights, Marcia is enjoying "researching" and plotting steamy love scenes for her romance novels with her husband and hero of many years.
