  Book 1 of "The Breed" series. Humans genetically altered by animal DNA spliced into their genes. Victims of illegal attempts to create "super warriors". Freed from the underground labs, many have set up a community of their own. Individuals are still being hunted by shadowy, powerful figures and often killed. In their travels, they meet up with humans and some develop strong bonded pairs.
  
  Great concept, good plot, excellent writing and fast action. Be warned! Has graphic sex scenes and language. This series is not for the easily offended.

  This book is a fantastically wild and exciting ride for the reader! LOVED, LOVED, LOVED it!! It starts out fast and keeps up the speed through the whole book. As in most romances, there is emotional give and take but the characters are strong-willed and full of great personality. The heroine, Megan, is a tough cookie and gives as much as she takes. No push over here.
  
  I would greatly recommend this book. However, as the other review stated, there are explicitly graphic romantic encounters.

  Complex characters and world with a well written story line. Hot Hot steam scenes. An extremely good read.
