She was so damned adorable, so sexy... Tam gritted his teeth as he stared at her, trying to figure out a way to explain to her that wanting her was wrong. Sharp, white teeth bit down on her lip as she stared in his direction, her face flushed, eyes dark, her entire body almost vibrating with hunger. She was the picture of female arousal and he wanted nothing more than to slake this building hunger for her.

But it wasn't right.

He'd come to this town under false pretenses, because he wanted something she had.

And the mirror was mattering less and less... Staring at her in the dim light of the condo, the hot, sweet taste of her mouth still in his head, he started to wonder. She wanted him...had feelings for him, he could see it in her eyes.

Could he stay?

She didn't know what the mirror was. Wasn't likely to ever use her wish...if she didn't use it, then the mirror was hers. Always hers, until she used that wish. Even passing it on to somebody else wouldn't change that. The only way Tam would be forced to answer to another would be if she used the wish and give the mirror away. Or she could give it to Tam before she used the wish.

He wanted to stay. For the first time in his very long life, he thought of seeing her face again and again, watching as lines of laughter appeared around her sad eyes, deepening, the sands of time starting to change that fresh, lovely beauty into something even more lovely, a classical beauty that not even time could change.

Yes. He wanted to stay.

But there was one thing he wanted more. To see her happy.

His voice dipped even lower as the edge of it roughened. "I love the way you feel. I can't wait for you to pay your debt."

His voice was pure temptation. Her body begged her with little jerks to move closer to that rich, deep sound of male promise. Her logic screamed to be heard over the clamoring of her skin. Both sets of impulses got mixed together as she just stood there trying to understand but her eyes dropped to the front of his pants. The thick bulge pushing against the fabric made her body ache. Her passage suddenly felt empty as it sent a rush of fluid down its walls. His cock was swollen and thick inside those pants and her body wanted to get much, much closer to its hard length.

"What are you talking about?"

"Our bet. You look nice and healthy, so I won." He stepped up next to her and tipped her chin up with his hand. The warm scent of his skin surrounded her, making her belly tremble with need. Her lungs deepened their next breath to pull even more of that male scent into her body. Heat erupted in her womb and bled down the walls of her passage. The hard muscle of his body bushed against her making her yearn for a tighter embrace that would bring that hard cock into contact with her. Her thoughts seemed centered on the idea that she had caused his arousal. Excitement poured from the thought that he had come to see her and his cock was hard in response to her.

"That means you owe me a kiss."

"Men should be neutered." The soft voice approached his bedroom as Jack flattened himself against the wall. "Riley should be neutered. Too much testosterone making decisions for him."

Her soft mutterings were amusing, if insulting. He shook his head, watching as the bedroom door opened, the little penlight sweeping out in front of her as she stepped into the room.

Jack moved then. Silently, swiftly, he slid across the distance, coming behind her, his arms going around her, one hand locking at her throat as a frightened gasp left her lips.

"Testosterone can come in real handy at times, little girl." He pressed his hips against hers, grinding his erection against her lower back as his lips lowered to her ear, his teeth nipping at the silken lobe as he felt her tense in his hold. "Especially when it comes to punishing pesky little kitten burglars with smart mouths."

Oh hell! Angel stilled, tensed, feeling the thick wedge of Jack's erection pressing into the small of her back as his big hand circled her throat. And she should have been frightened. She should have been terrified and fighting for her life and she would have been, if she didn't know him so well. He was undoubtedly going to piss her off, but he wasn't going to hurt her. He wasn't going to let her go either--the snug hold he had on her assured her of that.

"You're a goon, Jack," she snapped as her hands rose to the fingers locked on her throat.

The position tilted her head back, angling her head on his shoulder as his teeth played at her ear, sending shivers of pleasure racing over her flesh.
