This was a very 'hot' book with intense sexual buildup. What I liked most was that the female character was strong, confident, and powerful - and admittedly flawed. Unlike many books, the author didn't try to paint the heroine as a perfect example of humanity. She was likeable and interesting despite her hangups and flaws.
The plot was interesting with great characters and creatures. Only negative comment I'd make is that the conflict and tension were kept very well til the last quarter of the book, where it fell a tad flat and the ending was a bit quick and 'easy'. Had they kept the tension (between the lead characters, I mean)rolling high until the very end and had a bit more elaborate finish, I'd have given this 5 stars. -
