Kresley Cole keeps coming up with great stories to add to her series. It might be a bit hard to follow the background caracters if you havnt read the first books (This is book 9 I believe) But she gets you right down into the mind of her characters and makes it all so clear without over repeating things. I had been waiting ot see another witch and a dempire for a while and she packs them both into one! Loved it and I cant wait till the next one.

I am a big fan of Kresley Cole. I have loved almost all of her books to date. There have been some rare exceptions. This one is by far my favorite. I really enjoyed that the hero had such immense strength but also had some vulnerablity. And the relationship he formed with Ruby tugged at my heartstrings. This is one to be re-read over and over.
  • 8.4 stars out of 5Full of Action and love

I bought this book on a whim, but it actually turned out to be pretty good. It is full of action and some great hot and steam love scenes. The only thing I didn't care for was the over use of fantasy names...at the beginning it was a little confusing...the writer didn't explain them well.
