Author Information
Bio of Jess Michaels
Jess Michaels has been writing since the fateful day when her husband said, "You're only really happy when you're writing. Why don't you do that?" In November 2003, her work (and several buckets of tears) paid off when she made her first sale to Red Sage Publishing. Since then, she has gone on to write for several other erotic romance publishers, and helped launch Avon's erotic romance line, Avon Red. Jess has been called "the queen of erotic romance," and her work has been described as "too hot to put down." She also writes historical romance for Avon Books as Jenna Petersen. She is well-known in the romance community for her popular website for aspiring romance writers, The Passionate Pen. The website was the first to list all the romance publishing houses and their submission guidelines, as well as all romance agencies that have websites. It has grown to include links, articles by Jess about the industry, and a popular diary of her journey to publication and beyond. Happily married to her hero since 1997, Jess lives in the Midwest, where she writes books between dodging tornado warnings and serving as entertainment director, box cleaner, and food provider for two demanding cats.
