Fools Rush In: A Novel
Overview
Ever wonder how Italian sounds with a Southern drawl?
Bella Rossi's life is just starting to get interesting. When her Italian-turned-Texan parents hand over the family wedding-planning business, Bella quickly books a Boot-Scootin' wedding that would make any Texan proud. There's only one catch--she doesn't know a thing about country music. Where will she find a deejay on such short notice who knows his Alan Jackson from his George Strait? And will Bella ever get to plan her own wedding?
Fun, fresh, and full of surprises, this flavorful combination of Italian and Tex-Mex highlights the hilarity that ensues when cultures clash.

A Page Turner for me.Posted November 12, 2011 by CrazyCdnLady, Calgary, AB Canada
This was the first book I downloaded to my Sony E-Reader. I have read all three of the "Weddings by Bella" now. All in order also this particular book was a wonderful beginning to the trilogy.
At the time of download I didn't know it was Christian Fiction novel. I just liked how the author developed the story and characters fulliy throughout the book. The Rossi Family is an incredible family and Ms. Thompson just keeps drawing you in with every page. I am Catholic but not as much as the Rossis for sure. They are Christians at all times. I did not fell it to be over bearing in that nature at all, it just enhanced the novel.
I recommend the entire series: Fools Rush In, Swinging on a Star, It Had to Be You.

Fun and romance in one book!Posted September 11, 2010 by Barbara Oden, Houston
Mix Uncle Laz's Dean Martin collection with Aunt Rosa's need to feed anything that moves and you've got a refreshingly fun version of My Big Fat Greek Wedding...Italian style! Janice Thompson shows off her natural wit and storytelling abilities in this delightful read about Bella Rossi's take over of Club Wed, located on Galveston Island. Only a pro like Bella could handle a bride's desire for cowboy boots as vases on the tables at her reception, another bride's need to build a theme castle on the property for her magical wedding, and a DJ who turns out to be only, well...DJ! Blend all the wedding drama with the spicy Rossi family and you'll find yourself identifying with them while you laugh out loud. You know a book is worth your time when the story grabs you from the first page, you care about the characters by the second page, and you're emotionally engrossed by the third page! You know an author makes the read worth your time when they leave just enough room for your imagination to fill in the spaces, they give you a meaty story that is crazy and believable all at the same time, and they don't confuse you with trivial backstory. Fools Rush In is worth your time on both accounts!
