Winning Violetta
Overview
Princess Violetta's dreams of a handsome knight winning her heart die when she becomes the prize in a joust. Accidentally shooting one of the competitors with an arrow, she can't believe the effeminate-looking knight is also the most handsome man she's ever seen.
Prince Colin hates his secret mission and his disguise as an outrageous peacock. The last thing he expects to find is a beautiful, passionate princess. He spends his days fighting for her hand in the joust, and the nights fighting for her love.
Hungering for his kisses and caresses, should Violetta surrender to his seduction?
When Colin's mission turns from spy to love, should he reveal his true identity at the risk of losing his life?
Will Violetta's two well-meaning, but hapless faery god sisters help the couple or cause utter chaos?

Excerpt from Winning Violetta by Jane Leopold Quinn
Love? Where had that come from? Lust was acceptable. But he had no defenses against a freckle faced redhead with dangerous, flashing green eyes reminding him of emeralds. No, they were the color of the forest with sunlight reflecting through the leaves.
Damn and blast! What stupid, poetic, romantic nonsense.
He'd watched her approach, staring, willing her to lift her gaze to him, and at the same time, also very afraid for those beautiful eyes to light on him. Would she hold the glance or look quickly away? Brazenly, he surveyed every inch of her.
He wanted her. Usually, he liked his women easy, but he had a strong feeling the Princess Violetta wouldn't be an easy conquest. Not a woman with enough self-command to be an expert at archery. He grinned at his crazy thoughts about the beauteous Artemis, goddess of the hunt.
Her scowl said it all. She didn't want to be on display. Didn't want to be sold on the marriage mart. But what man wouldn't want that luscious girl in his bed every night? Every morning, every noontime--and every moment in between. His body reacted, his shaft swelling in arousal, his palms sweating.
Damn and blast. She's going to mean trouble.
"Sir Stephen of Challon, may I present the Princess Violetta."
Colin bowed with a flourish of lace and ruffles and gave her a look that said you don't fool me one bit. I know exactly who you are.
