The NIV is a highly accurate and smooth-reading version of the Bible in modern English.   I thought it would be tough getting around and finding verses. Not at all! Very well designed. Also has footnotes...wow.

  I had the previous Sony NIV Study Bible. I found the navigation somewhat awkward making it unsuitable for use in church. It took too much time to find versus. This format is much more efficient. I would find it more useable if it did have the book title at the top of the page. But this is minimal annoyance.
