Overview

She Thought She Was Leaving the Rat Race Behind...Gemologist Andie Adams is suffering a bad case of burnout in her stress-filled job in New York. So she jumps at the chance to ditch her wormy corner of the Big Apple for a home in Kentucky with her lovable but off-the-wall Aunt Weeby. After all, things should be slower paced in Kentucky--right?Wrong. Andie reluctantly joins the Shop-Til-U-Drop Network as its newest jewelry and gemstone show host. Sparks fly between her and the know-nothing (but drop-dead gorgeous) jock they've hired as her cohost. And when Andie's job exposes her to a international investigation, the mayhem escalates during an exotic journey. Explosions, missing gems, sabotage--life was never this exciting in New York! Former newspaper reporter Ginny Aiken discovered books at a very early age, writing her first novel at age fifteen. She is the author of the Silver Hills Trilogy and the Deadly D?cor Mysteries. A frequent speaker at women's events and writers' conferences, Ginny lives with her husband and four sons in Pennsylvania. |||This book is sold in the US by Sony Electronics Inc. |||This book is sold in Canada by Sony Electronics Inc.

Author Information

Ginny Aiken

Born June 8, 1955 in Havana, Cuba, and raised in Venezuela, Ginny Aiken discovered books early on. She wrote her first novel at fifteen, then burned it when she turned a "mature" sixteen. That first effort was followed by certificates in French Literature and Culture from the University of Nancy, France, and a BA in Spanish and French Literature from Allegheny College in Meadville, Pennsylvania.
After working as a paralegal, she stayed home to raise four sons. As her sons grew older, she worked part-time as a staff writer/reporter with the Avon Lake Press in Avon Lake, Ohio. In 1992 she won the Mid-America Romance Author's Fiction from the Heartland contest for unpublished authors with her historical romance novel Light of My Heart. December 1993 saw the release of her Berkley/Jovce historical, Love Evergreen, under the pseudonym Ginny Aiken.

Her next release for Berkley was Candy Kiss, followed by County Fair. In 1997 she wrote Crystal Memories, a time-travel currently under consideration for a cable/tv movie. In 1998, under the pseudonym Ginny Reyes, she wrote Faerie Tale, part of the launch of Berkley ' s newest romance line.

In the spring of 1998, Ginny;s first inspirational project, a novella titled "Something Borrowed," was part of Tyndale House Publishers With This Ring anthology, and marked a new direction in her career.

Ms. Aiken lives in York, Pennsylvania, with her husband of twenty years, George, and their sons, George Ivan, Gregory Alex, Geoffrey Nicholas, and Grant Adrian. When she isn't busy with the duties of a soccer mom, she can be found reading, writing, enjoying classical music, and preparing for her next Bible study.
