Overview

Although they have met just once, at a train station in Japan, Elaine Chieko Packard and Connor McKenzie have been haunted ever since by passionate dreams they cannot control. They determine to resolve the tension between the moral strictures of their religion and their own overpowering emotions by eloping, a decision that triggers an entirely unexpected series of events.

Eugene Woodbury

Eugene Woodbury was born and raised in the upstate New York community of Scotia-Glenville. After serving for two years in the Japan Tokyo South Mission, he graduated from Brigham Young University with degrees in Japanese and TESOL. His stories and essays have appeared in The New Era, Sunstone, Cricket Magazine, The American Gardener, and Clubhouse. He has twice been a Utah Original Writing Competition finalist and is a recipient of the Sunstone Foundation Moonstone Award for short fiction.
