Twilight in Italy by D. H Lawrence is a brilliantly written travelogue based on his journal. He embarked South, to Italy on foot with his German wife Frieda, and has described all his thrilling and interesting experiences. Bio of D. H. Lawrence

( 1885 AD - 1930 AD), One of the leading literary figures the 20th century. This English novelist, poet, essayist, playwright and short-story writer is renowned for his opposition of industrial society. His other famous novels are The Rainbow (1915), Women in Love (1921), The Plumed Serpent (1926), and Lady Chatterley's Lover (1928). He was also a poet of great calibre and his verse includes Love Poems and Others (1913), Look! We Have Come Through (1917), and Birds, Beasts and Flowers (1923). Lawrence also contributed to the short-story genre with such gems as The Woman Who Rode Away and Other Stories (1928), and Love Among the Haystack and Other Pieces (1930). His diverse writings include plays, travel books, essays and several non-fictional works.
