Overview

On Mariposa, a person's tribe provides security & protection. But someone who has no tribe has nothing--no last name, no rights, & no protection from exploitation. A slave named Hob escapes his owner & finds an ally in Janhnsi Han-Lin, a woman from a fighting tribe. But while Hob & Jahnsi struggle to prevent his capture, his owner wants his property back & an off-worlder hunts for a specific slave
