Overview

Brent Weeks was born and raised in Montana. After getting his paper keys from Hillsdale College, Brent had brief stints walking the earth like Caine from Kung Fu, tending bar, and corrupting the youth. (Not at the same time.) He started writing on bar napkins, then on lesson plans, then full time. Eventually, someone paid him for it. Brent lives in Oregon with his wife, Kristi. He doesn't own cats or wear a ponytail. Read this whole series, it is great start to finish. Totally entertaining. The only negative thing I would say is that there is not another one.

7.Great Trilogy

Loved all three of these books - when I was done, I went back and read them again. Yes, there was language, and a lot of the uglier side of life - from early on, this book is about killers.... One reviewer did not like that there was so much "borrowed" from human history, but I thought the beauty of it was that there was so much of human history in this world the author created. There is also a great deal of truth in this book, about life, courage, human nature, and even God, though the latter perhaps more subtly. The last trilogy I enjoyed this much was the Lord of the Rings - this has few similarities to that trilogy except for the life-truths of it. It was a compelling read. I had to buy the second and third books as soon as they were available - I had to find out the resolution to the story!

the character were cool and the drama was really cool but the fighting was awsome :D

Well written, fast paced, good characterization and story line. I really enjoyed it and left me wanting more from this author.
