Overview

A lost love and a murdered aunt push a shy teacher out of her shell and straight into trouble. The detectives on her aunt's case see Jessica as the possible killer. Her aunt's friend thinks Jessica and she are just the people to track the murderer down. Meanwhile the real killer believes Jessica is a serious risk to his freedom.

I'm a retired, small-town journalist, a fiction writer, and a dreamer. Except for a fascinating thirteen-year stint in Chicago, my life has been lived in rural America. I grew up on a small grain farm. Now, I live along a wooded ravine in a small town near the western edge of the state. My children are grown; and my grandchildren now occupy center stage in my life. When I'm not writing, I enjoy playing bridge, quilting and scratching around in my backyard dirt, a spot I share with an occasional deer and a few other untamed critters.

1.What the Heck was That?

Don't read this book.It's pretty short,and it took me 3 days to read it when it should have taken me 1.Only the thought of finishing it and starting another story got me through it.There were so many grammar mistakes,the plot was weak,if there at all,and the author has no detective background.If you are going to have a character play detective,at least study how one works,because they don't drive around for a few days and come up with the answer with no hard facts.It sounds like the girl is coming up with ingenious plans,she's not.She starts one then goes out to lunch with someone.

This novel made me keep reading and reading. I read until 12:30 a.m. one night even though I woke up at 7 for school. I finished this book in 5 days max. it was a thriller and mystery! I love this book!

This story surprised me as to its plot, story line , arrangements and even a lot of wrong spellings. How could an author wrote a detective story without attempt to explore how a detective works! It is a waste of time to read this book.

I enjoyed the twists & turns...good murder mystery.
