Author Information

Bio of Anna Depalo

While still in her teens, Anna DePalo began her first novel. She wishes she could say this early manuscript went on to receive numerous accolades and bring her fame and fortune. Instead, that first attempt -- well, all three pages of it -- hit the trash heap, and she understood why many authors throughout history have burned their papers for posterity. Anna went on to live in Italy and England, graduate from Harvard, earn an advanced degree in political science, practice intellectual property law, and marry the man of her dreams. One day, Anna decided to give fiction writing another try, believing that having done some more living would help her tell the truth about life in the pages of made-up stories. This time she didn't stop at three pages -- or even 93. Writing during weekends and evenings, after working long days as an attorney, she finally typed her first "The End." That first finished manuscript, Having the Tycoon's Baby, soon sold to the Silhouette series, became a bestseller and award winner, and has been published in over 10 countries to date. These days, Anna has happily traded a lawyer's navy-blue suits for a full-time writer's blue jeans and is given to toasting new story beginnings while ensconced in front of her home-office computer. Readers can contact her through her web site at www.annadepalo.com or directly at anna@annadepalo.com.

Bio of Brenda Jackson

Brenda is a die-hard romantic who married her childhood sweetheart 30 years ago and still proudly wears the "going steady" ring he gave her when she was 15. Because she began believing very early in the power of love and romance, she can't help but write stories with happy endings. She is an award-winning bestselling author of more than 10 romance novels and looks forward to increasing that number. She and her husband live in the city where they were born, Jacksonville, Fla., and have two sons in college. She has a B.S. in business administration and presently works in management for a major insurance company. Coming home from work and sitting down to her computer to weave love stories is the highlight of her day. She and her husband spend time together traveling to discover those romantic places she could use as settings in her books. Brenda would love to hear from her readers. Write her at P.O. Box 28267, Jacksonville, FL 32226. You can also contact her through her email address, GJBJ@aol.com.

Bio of Merline Lovelace

Daughter of a career air force veteran, Merline Lovelace grew up at bases all over the world. Living in Newfoundland and France and almost half of the fifty states as a child sparked a lifelong love of travel she continues to indulge to this day. A Woodrow Wilson scholar, she graduated magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa, from Ripon College, WI, with honors in German and Russian. She also studied Mandarin Chinese at Princeton University and Middlebury College, VT; earned a masters from Troy State University, AL; and attended Harvard's Kennedy School of Government. During her twenty-three year military career, Colonel Lovelace served tours in Taiwan, in Vietnam, and at the Pentagon with the Joint Chiefs of Staff. She commanded Eglin Air Force Base, the biggest and best base in the air force, and is a distinguished graduate of Squadron Officers' School, the Armed Forces Staff College and the Air War College. Her many military awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Air Force Legion of Merit with oak leaf cluster and the Bronze Star. When she hung up her uniform for the last time, Colonel Lovelace decided to combine her love of adventure with a flair for storytelling, basing many of her tales on her experiences in the service. Since then, she's produced one action-packed sizzler after another. She now has sixty published novels to her credit, many of which have made USA TODAY and Waldenbooks bestseller lists. Over eight million copies of her works are in print in thirty countries. Merline's novels have won numerous honors, including the Romance Writers of America's prestigious RITA Award -- the Oscar of the publishing world. She's also very proud of the fact that the University of Oklahoma chose her as the 1998 Oklahoma Writer of the Year, adding her name to a roster of literary luminaries that includes Louis L'Amour and Tony Hillerman. Married for more than thirty-five years to the handsome hero she met her second day in the air force, Merline enjoys golf, travel and long, lively dinners with friends and family.

Bio of Kasey Michaels

Kasey Michaels is a New York Times bestselling author who has written more than 40 irresistible historical romances. And with more than 5 million books in print, she has well earned her national recognition as a master of the genre. In 1995 Publishers Weekly praised Secrets of the Heart with a coveted starred review and selected it as one of the year's best romances. Kasey Michaels lives outside Philadelphia with her husband and four children.
