Overview

The American Standard Version of the Holy Bible is a revision of the English Revised Edition of the King James Bible published in 1881. The general intention of the American revisers was to eliminate obsolete, obscure, or misleading terms and to "bring a plain reader more closely into contact with the exact thought of the sacred writers than any version[then] current in Christendom, and . . . prove itself especially serviceable to students of the Word."

Of course, the Holy Bible is a great blessing, and I prefer the American Standard Version translation. Unfortunately, this ebook isn't very well produced. There isn't a functional Table of Contents, so there is no easy way to find a specific scripture except by using the search function in the Reader. That works okay, but an ebook Bible really should have a good TOC and chapter : verse links to zero in on a specific scripture.

Needs some work to be a good ebook Bible. I'm glad it's available, but I would look for a better edition.
