OS: Microsoft® Windows 7, Microsoft® Windows Vista® (32-bit or 64-bit), or Microsoft Windows XP (32-bit only)

CPU: 800 MHz Intel® Celeron® class processor (or better). RAM: 128MB or more (minimum 512MB for Windows Vista)

HD: 20MB or more (depending on amount of content, more space may be required)

Other: Internet Connection (broadband suggested)

Port: USB (for Reader connection)

Device: Works with Reader Digital Book by Sony (Models: PRS-505, PRS-500, PRS-700, Reader Touch Edition™ and Reader Pocket Edition™).

(Note: You do not need a device to use the service.)

Using the PRS-500 with Windows 7 operating system or 64-bit versions of Windows Vista operating system will require a firmware update for the PRS-500.

  • Note: If eBook Library software version 3.0 has been installed on a computer using Windows 7 operating system, it is necessary to uninstall version 3.0 and then install version 3.0.01.
