  I started watching True Blood and went on to read all of Charlaine Harris' books...I couldn't put them down....after the first chapter you'll be hooked.

  I have been a long time fan of Charlaine Harris. I love all her books especially the Sookie Stackhouse series. I was so happy to see her work captured on television with the True Blood HBO series and have watched every episode. If you like the show you will definitely love the books! You can't put them down and once you've read them you will be on pins and needles waiting for the next installment of the Sookie series. Highly recommend all her book series! You will not be disappointed!

• Great light reading

  Over the holidays I was reading 1776, since I am a history teacher, but I really wanted some light reading. I should have bought the whole pack because I have read the first four books in a week and I am DLing the fifth now. If you like your vampires still a little mean, that can kill if they need, and not afraid to bite their lovers, then this series is for you (compared to that other emo-vampire series LOL).

  Charlaine Harris writes with wit and imagination in these short novels. There's plenty of crazy paranormal action, and Sookie is just a fantastic character you love to follow.

  These books were amazing. After I read them I found out about the show and the season was already over. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD. I am also really anxious for the new book to come out in May.

  I loved the story and the characters in this book. The one down side I found with this book (Dead until Dark) was the sex scenes. The first one made me want to gag... and all the ones to follow seemed to have no flare to them.
  
  All in all I think the book would have been just as good if not better with out them!
  
  I'm torn on if I want to get book two or not.

  I had just finished the Twilight series and was looking for an equally good/enjoyable read about supernatural characters. Charlaine's series got the BEST reviews at amazon.com, vs many other Vampire authors. I am now a dedicated and devoted fan of the entire series and the TV series based on the books: True Blood. Sookie is a breath of fresh air as a character: strong, vulnerable, street smart, yet caring. I adore the Southern "flavour" of the book and her characters. From book 1 to 9, Charlaine does NOT disappoint her audience!

  I am currently on the second book and I really enjoy the story. And getting past of the series in a bundle was awesome! Saving lots of cash :D
