| Biography
Michael Jasper grew up in Dyersville, Iowa (home of "The Field of Dreams"), but he now lives with his wife Elizabeth and son Drew in Raleigh, North Carolina. A graduate of the Clarion Writers Workshop and the North Carolina State Creating Writing Program, he works as a technical writer at a software company and squeezes in time for his writing in the early hours of the day. Publishers Weekly called his 2005 short story collection Gunning for the Buddha from Prime Books "evocative and vivid." His fiction has appeared in Isaac Asimov's Science Fiction Magazine, Strange Horizons, Writers of the Future, The Raleigh News & Observer, and O. Henry Festival Stories.
