Author James Lee Burke has written fifteen novels and collections of short stories, which are generally set in Louisiana, Texas and Montana. Burke is the creator of Dave Robicheaux, a recovering alcoholic, police officer and fallen hero who appears in nine novels, including Heaven's Prisoners, which was made into a movie starring Alec Baldwin. Burke also created Billy Bob Holland, a former Texas Ranger who is another fallen hero. |
